ASSISTANT EVENT MANAGER (INTERNSHIP) - (f/m/d)

You’re a motivated and ambitious team player at the beginning of your career in the event, marketing or hospitality industry. You may have some experience, or none at all. What you do have is confidence, a never-say-die attitude and a passion for events and live experiences. You’re also flexible, organized, customer-focused and have an eye for detail.
What you'll be doing
- Keep our and client's databases updated at all times
- Support in the production of an event during preparation and when on-site
- Assist in venue and supplier selection, registration of participants and may help to make travel arrangements
- Support (and learn from) project managers when setting, communicating, maintaining timelines and priorities on all projects
- Help manage the finances and monitor cost of our events
Must haves
(We really mean it. Candidates who do not meet the following criteria will not be considered.)
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Based in Brussel with a valid work permit as we do not sponsor visas
- Enrolled or recently graduate from relevant university programs in events, marketing, hospitality or business management
- Attention to detail and eagerness to learn
- Motivated and ready to go beyond the job description to make things happen
- Availability, on rare occasions, to work on weekends
Nice to haves
- Fluency in French or Dutch
- Experience working in an event agency
- Good knowledge of Microsoft programs: Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Sharepoint, MS Teams is a great asset
